ROBERT PALMER- JOHNNY AND MARY
TALKING HEADS- AND SHE WAS
I took the tram home from work this morning and this creepy drunk guy kept hassling me. It was twelve o-clock and I had just finished my shift at the bakery. I tried to be polite because I don’t like to judge people from first impressions. Of course those first impressions turned out to be totally true. He kept saying that my voice was sexy, (which it isn’t because I sound like a ten-year-old) and that he couldn’t control himself. Visions of him hurting me kept going through my brain and I ended up getting off at a different suburb just to make sure him couldn’t follow me. I wish we didn’t have to worry about these kinds of things. That we didn’t have to be scared because we are female and there is always the potential risk of a man attacking you for no real reason, besides the fact that you are a woman. So on the 45 minute walk home I called my Dad and he made me feel better. I wish all men were more like him , i.e AMAZING, LOVING & CARING.
